Grosvenor secures trio of independent brands at Liverpool ONE
Grosvenor Britain & Ireland (GBI) has announced the arrival of three new independent brands at Liverpool ONE. Totalling over 6,300sq ft, the signings of leading Irish athleisure brand, Gym+Coffee, local jewellery brand, Say it with Diamonds, and fast-growing Liverpool-based coffee operator, Bean, are reflective of GBI’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and community-based businesses.
Gym+Coffee has signed for a 1,500 sq ft space on Manesty’s Lane, marking its debut in the city and a key milestone in the company’s expansion. Fronted by One Direction’s Niall Horan, who acts as the brand’s advisor and investor, Gym+Coffee’s new clubhouse concept store will stock the label’s popular athletic apparel for women and men, as well as its range of accessories.
Say it with Diamonds, which was founded in Liverpool, has also signed for a flagship 1,800sq ft store on Manesty’s Lane. Offering a wide range of luxurious and bespoke diamond jewellery, the brand’s Liverpool ONE flagship will complement their strong e-commerce offering, creating an additional omnichannel offering for customers.
Completing the trio of new brands is Liverpool-based coffee shop and roastery, Bean, with the brand signing for a 3,000 sq ft space on South John Street. The operator’s new Liverpool ONE space will provide high-quality coffee from carefully sourced beans alongside a complementary food menu, as well as a retail space featuring premium coffee making equipment. Sustainability is central to Bean Coffee’s ethos, with eco-friendly options used wherever possible and beans roasted in their Liverpool roastery, reducing the number of coffee miles taken per cup of coffee.
Natalie Conway, Gym+Coffee Retail Director, commented: “We wanted our first store in the city to be located somewhere special to satisfy the demand from our rapidly growing community in the North West. Liverpool ONE, with its high footfall and consistently strong sales performance, is perfect. Our new Clubhouse will deliver much more than pure retail, and, like the destination itself, will encourage people to meet, socialise, get active, and enjoy a holistic retail and leisure experience.”
Alison Clegg, Managing Director, Asset Management, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, added: “The signings of these three operators furthers our strategy of delivering a vibrant mix of independent and international brands to create a unique offer for visitors. They also continue our history of working with local companies and entrepreneurs to help grow their businesses.”
The signings follow the recommitment of New Look, Skechers and Kenji to Liverpool ONE. In addition, award-winning British luxury jewellery retailer, David M Robinson, has signed for a new OMEGA boutique, set to open on South John Street later this year.
Metis and CBRE acted for Liverpool ONE. Gym+Coffee, Say it with Diamonds and Bean all dealt direct.
