Seven Dials serves up duo of independent dining concepts

Shaftesbury has secured two new independent concepts, adding to the vibrant dining offer in its West End destination, Seven Dials. Vegan take-away vendor YEDA has launched its first ever location at 55 Neal Street, whilst Italian gastronomic specialist Arro Coffee is set to open at 36 Monmouth Street in early February.

Selecting Seven Dials for its debut 930 sq ft site, YEDA is the brainchild of young entrepreneur Elena Luzhkova, who identified a gap in the London market for delicious vegan food available on-the-go. The well-balanced menu focuses on plant-based creations which are good for both the consumer and the environment, with nutritious salads, sandwiches, wraps and hot mains all served in recyclable and compostable packaging. Fitted out with natural woods, terrazzo tiles and modern fittings, the new YEDA site is spread across two floors, with quick grab-and-go service on the ground floor, and a relaxing lounge atmosphere downstairs.

Joining YEDA is Arro Coffee, known as ‘the temple of coffee’, which is launching a 647 sq ft site offering its signature Italian culinary products of the highest quality. Arro will bring a unique sensory experience to Seven Dials, roasting globally sourced coffee beans, and serving a comprehensive brunch menu alongside traditional panettone breads and Spanish Modica chocolate.

Julia Wilkinson, Group Restaurant Strategy Executive at Shaftesbury said: “Seven Dials is becoming increasingly synonymous with one-of-a-kind experiences, which both YEDA Café and Arro Coffee enhance from a dining perspective. As pioneering brands, both reflect our curated and considered leasing approach across Seven Dials, and sit firmly amongst the high calibre of operators which we maintain throughout our community. We look forward to seeing both flourish in 2020 and complement the overall café and restaurant line-up, spanning from the newly launched Seven Dials Market to the health-conscious Redemption and 26 Grains sites at Neal’s Yard.”

Elena Luzhkova, Founder of Yeda Café added: “In our search for a debut location for Yeda Café in the UK, Seven Dials was a stand-out choice for its unique dining line-up, attracting both Londoners and tourists alike. The destination is the ideal platform for a new brand to make its mark in London’s impressive, and increasingly plant-oriented food landscape, and we’re thrilled to have launched our latest venture within this innovative and receptive community.”

The announcements follow news of two international brands choosing Seven Dials for their UK bricks and mortar debuts: pioneering Finnish street food brand Fafa’s, and Doha-based Adara Group’s latest venture, gourmet Art Deco café Apple Butter.

Nash Bond and Cushman & Wakefield represented Shaftesbury. YEDA dealt directly, while TK Retail acted for Arro Coffee.
