The Cambridge Satchel Company's Seven Dials homecoming
The Cambridge Satchel Company has officially opened the doors to its newest store at 37 Neal Street, marking the British brand’s return to Shaftesbury’s Seven Dials, in the heart of the West End.
Known for its iconic men’s and women’s accessories inspired by traditional schoolbags, The Cambridge Satchel Company launched its original bricks and mortar site in the atmospheric West End village in 2013. Coinciding with the brand’s tenth anniversary, the store has been designed in-house to serve as the flagship location for the brand’s successful array of UK locations.
Commenting on the announcements, Addy Williams, Retail Portfolio Manager at Shaftesbury said: ““To welcome The Cambridge Satchel Company back to Seven Dials, after serving as an incubator for the company in its establishment ten years ago, really captures the strong sense of community we offer to brands. This opening reflects our strategy of building a rich mix of boutiques and a bespoke experience for visitors, in the heart of the bustling West End.”
Julie Deane OBE, Co-Founder of The Cambridge Satchel Company, added: “This milestone birthday of 10 years was something special to us - it was a chance to see how far we’ve grown from our first store on Shorts Gardens in Seven Dials. We’ve had the opportunity to trial other ventures in London, which has shown the virtue of our original location. The cobbled streets, Victorian lamps and unique character in Seven Dials really speak the language of our brand and we are so pleased to come home.”
JLL and Nash Bond represented Shaftesbury. The Cambridge Satchel Company dealt directly.
