Farah grows in Seven Dials
Shaftesbury has announced Farah, the iconic vintage menswear brand, has relocated and upsized their Seven Dials store at 3 Earlham Street, following a sustained strong performance in Seven Dials.
Designed by agency Yum Retail, the store spans across two floors; ground and basement, providing space for a larger collection of menswear fashion and footwear. It features bespoke and sourced furniture, with traditional reclaimed pottery floorboards, galvanized metals and vintage fluorescent lighting, inspired by British 1950’s industrial factories.
Shaftesbury has recently invested in Earlham Street’s appearance and accessibility. Works have been completed to enhance shop fronts, improve road surfaces and widen pavements, creating a more modern, accessible atmosphere for shopping and dining. Farah’s brand new upsized store joins Dutch eyewear brand, Ace & Tate, which opened its UK flagship store on Earlham Street earlier this year.
Commenting on the news, Charles Owen, Portfolio Executive at Shaftesbury, said: “Working with great brands, such as Farah, enables Seven Dials to offer our visitors the best choice of fashion with an individual edge, all within the heart of the West End. Driven by the demand for menswear, Farah has gone from strength to strength and we are pleased to have been able to help them expand and maximise their full potential on the newly revitalised Earlham Street.”
Mark McCann, Brand Director at Farah, added: “We’re excited about this new chapter in our retail development. Earlham Street has always been our home in London, and this new store will allow us to provide an even better consumer experience.”
JLL and Nash Bond represented Shaftesbury. Stephen Kane acted for Farah. www.sevendials.co.uk
