Shaftesbury Capital welcomes Nagare Coffee for West End debut on Newburgh Street

Shaftesbury Capital has announced that Asian-inspired artisanal café concept, Nagare Coffee, is set to join Soho. Taking its first-ever West End site at 2 Newburgh Street, just off Carnaby Street, Nagare Coffee will add a boutique café to the destination, as it continues to evolve its F&B offer.

With a neutral and minimalist aesthetic, Nagare Coffee has chosen Soho for its second bricks-and-mortar location, launching this December in a 1,300 sq ft space. Nagare, which means to ‘flow’ in Japanese, takes an alternative approach to the average coffee shop, prioritising premium beans and stocking a variety of single-origin, hand filtered coffee from across the globe.

Nagare Coffee adds another stop-and-pause moment for visitors shopping and dining throughout Carnaby Street and Soho, joining the likes of Donutelier, which opened in November. These new arrivals complement the plethora of retail brands situated on Carnaby Street, both providing a high-quality experience that adds another dimension to the destination’s appeal throughout the day for families, locals, and office workers nearby.

The news follows the announcement that specialist Basque cheesecake vendor, La Maritxu, has recently joined the Soho neighbourhood at 10 Kingly Street. Having gone viral on social media, the concept has taken on a 270 sq ft space at the entrance to Kingly Court, stocking the brand’s hugely popular selection of cheesecakes, baked at high temperatures to produce a caramelised exterior and a rich, creamy centre. La Maritxu, like Nagare, is the second location for the brand and pinpoints the Soho neighbourhood as a prime location for concepts looking to grow.
