Pizza Pilgrims opens new restaurant on King's Road

The Sloane Stanley Estate has announced that Pizza Pilgrims has opened its new restaurant on King’s Road.

The 2,021 sq ft space has launched at 219 King’s Road, bringing a slice of coastal Italy to the heart of Chelsea for the first time. The ground floor, with space for 40 covers, features ornate details and striped parasols, reflecting its playful ‘Chelsea Flour Show’ arch made entirely of pizza flour bags. The basement has an additional 32 covers, and transforms into Cinema Paradiso, adding an experiential element to the prominent gateway to the Sloane Stanley Estate.

The Chelsea menu echos its other pizzerias around London, featuring its signature Neopolitan, 72-hour double-fermented dough with flavours such as the classic Margherita, Fiorentina, and the Double Pepperoni & Spicy Honey. Bringing a sense of familiarity and quality to the Sloane Stanley Estate, Pizza Pilgrims is yet another stand-out addition to the destination’s growing F&B line-up, enhancing the day-to-night economy on King’s Road and beyond.

Hannah Grievson, Property Director at Sloane Stanley, said: “Pizza Pilgrims is a very welcome addition to the Estate. This unit is a gateway to our Estate, so serves as the starting point of some of the best brands in Chelsea. Pizza Pilgrims has really delivered on bringing a playful and eye-catching restaurant, fitting in with the creative nature of the King’s Road. Its ‘Capri’ vision certainly offers something unique for the neighbourhood, with a quality offer that will work perfectly here.”

Thom Elliot, Co-Founder at Pizza Pilgrims, added: “Bringing Pizza Pilgrims to Chelsea feels like a real milestone for us. Our dad ran a pub on King’s Road back in the day, and the area has always pulled us in. We have now secured the perfect corner site to house our Capri-style pizzeria and bring the joy of Pizza Pilgrims to one of London’s most iconic roads. A true neighbourhood location - it’s a community we can’t wait to be a part of.”

This news follows the recent opening of Fantômas on Sloane Stanley’s King’s Road, the new Modern European concept headed up by chef Chris Denney. The 2,000 sq ft restaurant at 300 King’s Road seats up to 80 covers, and marks a key part of Sloane Stanley’s growing F&B hub with industry-leading chefs and restaurants, sitting alongside Josephine by Claude Bosi, Bluebird, Beaufort House, Alley Cats, and Dez Amore.

Miles Commercial and Levy Real Estate represented the Sloane Stanley Estate in the deal.
