Bond Street, Chelmsford boosts retail and restaurant line up
P-THREE, the specialist real estate agency and consultancy, has announced high-profile retail and restaurant signings on behalf of Aquila Holdings, the landlord of premium shopping and leisure destination in Chelmsford.
Leading the new entrants to join Bond Street is home and body cosmetics company, Rituals, which is set to open a 3,500 sq ft unit in early September. Stocking a range of luxurious yet affordable bath, body, and home products, Rituals will extend the home and beauty offer at Bond Street, joining brands such as The White Company and L’Occitane.
Mint Velvet, the British womenswear brand, which specialises in effortless luxury and relaxed glamour recently launched this August. Occupying a 4,300 sq ft store the store delivers a range of wardrobe staples. Completing the trio of retail signings is Accessorize, the trend-led jewellery brand in a 1,680 sq ft unit, due to open in September.
Inspiring Indian Street food brand, Mowgli, is the latest F&B signing for Bond Street Chelmsford with a 3,150 sq ft restaurant able to accommodate 86 covers and 1,000 sq ft and 46 cover dedicated outdoor seating space. The authentic dining experience, founded by Nisha Katona, is set to open this winter and forms part of the brands UK expansion plans.
Raquel Sanchez-Diaz, Director at P-THREE, commented: “Rituals, Mint Velvet, Accessorize and exciting dining brand Mowgli, all flocking to Bond Street – shortly after regional debuts for four similarly aspirational retailers – is a great indication of how the destination is performing, as the region’s premium shopping and leisure destination. Bond Street has built its line-up to cater to that demand, and that’s why premium brands perform so well here.”
Dominic Chambers, Managing Director of Aquila Holdings, said: “Bond Street is the home for premium retail in Chelmsford and we’re delighted to announce these new lettings so soon after the openings of Charles Tyrwhitt, Sweaty Betty and Leon. Leasing demand has been excellent and demonstrates the resilience of Chelmsford as a prime retailing city.”
Penny Grivea, Managing Director for UK and Ireland at Rituals, added: “Living during these ever-changing, fast-paced times, we understand more than ever the need for creating moments of joy and feeling balanced during our everyday life. The new Bond Street store will help customers to achieve a sense of wellbeing by finding the perfect products that will help them to balance the body, mind and soul. This opening marks an exciting time for the brand in growing our retail presence across the UK.”
The new brands will sit alongside the likes of Oliver Bonas, Goldsmiths, Hotel Chocolat, TAG Heuer and Everyman Cinema plus more.
Rituals dealt direct, SiteWorks acted for Mint Velvet, and Newmark represented Accessorize. Quirico Estates represented Mowgli. P-THREE and Jamieson Mills act as joint agents on behalf of the landlord, Aquila Holdings.
