RED Construction Group cements trio of project wins
RED Construction Group, the specialist main contractor, has announced a trio of project wins totalling £22m across London and the South East, to be delivered by its dedicated Special Projects team.
Located in the bustling South Bank and opposite The Palace of Westminster, Marriott’s County Hall Hotel is the latest project to call upon RED Construction Group’s skill and experience in hospitality redevelopment. The team have been appointed to strip out the existing gym and health spa facilities, and carry out structural alterations, to deliver 35 new guest rooms equipped with marble bathrooms, and a members’ gym on the fifth and sixth levels of the hotel, all while the Marriott remains operational. Works to the former headquarters for London County Council will be undertaken by RED Construction’s Special Projects team alongside architects Hamilton and Studio Moren, with the refurbishment set to complete in early 2024.
Offering convenient London living in the heart of Bromley, developers Landsec have selected RED Construction to carry out a refurbishment on St Mark’s Square, a landmark development housing a collection of one and two-bedroom duplexes, and one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes. Working alongside Ryder Architecture, the RED team will deliver the redevelopment of 12 fire damaged apartments on levels 13 to 19, including a new internal fit out of the flats and remedial works to the external cladding. The project is set to complete in mid 2024.
RED Construction Group’s Special Projects division has also been appointed to deliver new facilities for the £7m Phase One of LEGOLAND Windsor’s Woodland Village. Merlin Entertainments has selected the team to carry out the creation of a large ‘Hub’ to provide a restaurant, stage, bar, various play areas, large WC facilities, and an industrial kitchen. Opening in Spring 2024, the LEGOLAND Woodland Village will feature 150 accommodation lodges in its Phase One development and the 10-acre site is set to attract thousands of UK and international visitors to Windsor.
