Oxygen Croydon Park bounces into £1.23 million transformation
Oxygen, the UK’s first choice indoor family activity brand, has unveiled its upgraded customer proposition through a £1.23 million refurbishment at Croydon Park, featuring transformed activity zones, facilities, café, and revamped event offerings.
Launched to the public over Easter, the new impactful concept, which was first introduced at Oxygen’s Wilmslow and Acton parks, has focused on significantly enhancing the customer experience through leading play, interactive facilities and new café offer. Extensive customer feedback and insights have been utilised to drive the delivery of the experience including an upgraded and more streamlined welcome and check-in space.
The 31,560 sq ft space, which spans across two floors, includes a neon experience tunnel guiding customers into the supercharged space, and a revitalised park layout with brand-new elements, including a parkour bounce zone, an inflatable obstacle course, six new climbing challenges, and a refreshed baby area and toddler play structure. Plus, nine new party rooms and an open party area for special occasions. A comfortable lounge area is available for parents looking for a quiet space, and features a best-in-class F&B offer meeting increasing consumer expectations.
Integral to delivering an impactful experience is a passionate team and Oxygen has invested in training dedicated people to deliver an enhanced and immersive experience, taking the consumer on a journey from the moment they arrive and for the duration of their visit.
Steve Wilson, Managing Director of Oxygen, commented on the re-launch: “We as a brand have sought to remain relevant and exceed expectations for our consumers. As part of this strategy, we have a long-term plan to invest in all our locations and our teams to ensure that Oxygen is differentiated within the indoor leisure market. The Croydon park’s transitional proposition, has significantly shifted consumer expectations of an indoor leisure park and has managed to enhance that overall experience and journey. We are proud of our team and what we have achieved in such a short space of time. We look forward to welcoming our loyal visitors and introducing some new faces to Oxygen Croydon.”
Oxygen worked with a number of core suppliers for the transformations of Croydon, Wilmslow and Acton, including; architects Zync Design and Oakwhite Contracts, as principal contractors.
The news follows the acquisition of Jump Evolution in March and Red Kangaroo in November last year by Oxygen, growing the portfolio to ten locations around the UK.
