Artisan bakery rises up at The Brentford project
International property developer, Ballymore, has announced the signing of GAIL’s, the artisanal bakery concept and café, to join the F&B line-up at the distinctive Brentford Project. Located just off the High Street, at 2 West Bradbury Yard, GAIL’s is due to open in early 2024.
The 1,916 sq ft café and bakery will provide customers with high-quality freshly baked breads, pastries, and cakes throughout the day, as well as hand-roasted speciality grade house blend coffee. Set across the ground floor and basement, it will also create a new lunch destination, offering an array of sandwiches and quiches that can be enjoyed at both indoor and outdoor seating. All products used by GAIL’s are sourced from trusted suppliers and are the best ingredients available.
Richard Pearce, Senior Development Manager at Ballymore, said: “We have a focused approach to selecting brands for The Brentford Project, with each reflecting our vision to enliven the riverside, offering a balance of residential, leisure, retail and workspaces for everyone and with brands that provide a bespoke offer for the local community. GAIL’s has such a great reputation and loyal following that sits well alongside independent brands. It will be a great hub for people working from home and to enjoy at weekends.”
The news follows the recent signing of seasoned restaurateur and Director of Genuine Restaurants Ltd, Sam Harrison, to open an all-day brasserie concept, Sam’s Waterside, and Sam’s Larder, a gourmet deli-cum-grocer. Both are set to launch at The Brentford Project this summer.
The Brentford Project is establishing a new riverside community, transforming 11.8 acres along the southern half of the town’s High Street and reconnecting it with the waterfront via a series of pedestrianised yards and lanes. Alongside 876 new homes, the project will bring an eclectic mix of dining, entertainment, shopping and leisure amenities, and over 5 acres of landscaping and public realm. Two revitalised docks will also create new riverside leisure hubs that will attract visitors from west London and beyond.
