Black Sheep Coffee makes regional debut in Queensgate, Peterborough
Queensgate has announced that independent coffee pioneer, Black Sheep Coffee, has signed for a regional debut in Peterborough, as the brand continues its rapid expansion across the UK.
Black Sheep Coffee will open a 1,800 sq ft kiosk unit on the ground floor of the centre, adjacent to anchor store Primark. Featuring the brand’s iconic coffee menu and boasting 100% speciality grade Robusta beans, Black Sheep Coffee will also offer Norwegian Waffles, Bagels, Toasties, and Smoothie Bowls, as well as an assortment of cakes, pastries, and light bites, enhancing the F&B offer within Queensgate.
Moving from strength to strength since its inception in 2013, and with over 50 locations across the UK, Black Sheep Coffee has built on the tagline ‘leave the herd behind’, making socially conscious efforts to relinquish single-use plastics. The addition of a premium coffee operator is in direct response to customer demand at Queensgate, with the unit set to launch in June.
Gabriel Shohet and Eirik Holth, Co-Founders of Black Sheep Coffee, commented: “We are very excited to bring Black Sheep Coffee to Peterborough. We’ve experienced immense success across our sites in areas such as London, Manchester, and Edinburgh, and Queensgate makes a great addition to the portfolio, attracting local people and more dedicated visits from further away. Its visitors will enjoy our innovative offering, and join us in our socially conscious efforts to reduce single-use plastics.”
Ed Ginn, Director of Investment Management at Invesco Real Estate, said: “Black Sheep Coffee is a reputable, established, and trusted operator within the market, and one which will work well in Queensgate. As we look to evolve the offer within the destination, we want to ensure our visitors have a mix of retail, F&B and leisure that can support a full-day out, and we’re confident that Black Sheep Coffee will enrich the centre and provide something unique for the city.”
This news follows the recent opening of Puttstars, the indoor mini-golf brand, part of the destination’s £60m leisure extension which launched last year.
