LabTech lassos cult bar brand: Coyote Ugly Saloon
Leading London property investment company, LabTech, has announced the signing of Coyote Ugly Saloon. The international cowboy-themed bar chain is set to open a debut London venue at Camden Market later this year.
Joining sites in Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff and Swansea, Coyote Ugly’s 5,000 sq ft Camden Market space will form the cult bar brand’s flagship UK site. Renowned for high octane hospitality and experiential entertainment, Coyote Ugly Camden will span two floors including a prominent bar top designed for both dancing and drinking.
Founded in New York in 1993, Coyote Ugly rose to international prominence in 2000 following the release of the multimillion-dollar eponymous film, which was inspired by bartenders’ experiences at the original site. Now with over 20 bars globally, Coyote Ugly Camden will replicate the high energy, cowboy-themed fun patrons worldwide have come to enjoy, delivered by UK franchise rights holder, Breaking Brands group.
Commenting on the signing, Maggie Milosavljevic, Commercial Director at LabTech, said: “We are constantly looking to diversify our portfolio and provide unique experiences for our visitors, particularly those that match the vibrancy of Camden Market. Securing the London debut flagship site for Coyote Ugly Saloon showcases the renowned character of Camden Market, and only strengthens our position as an iconic destination with genuine local and international appeal.”
Steve Lewis, chairman of Breaking Brands group, added: “The history of rock and roll in Camden is a perfect fit for Coyote Ugly. With the success of our other bars in the UK, we know Camden is an ideal location and it’s hugely exciting to have signed the deal. The dynamic of Coyote Ugly fits well with this location and is what London needs and once open will become the place to party in the capital.”
This news follows the recent signing of Mayfair-based cocktail and casual dining venue, The Lucky Club, which opened at Camden Market earlier this month.
