Victoria Place on a roll as Woking Superbowl opens
Leisure concept Woking Superbowl has opened in Victoria Place, Woking, the significant town centre regeneration initiative that launched in March this year. The recently opened 26,500 sq ft space features amusements such as a state-of-the-art 14-lane bowling alley and a ‘space age’ Laser Quest arena along with both food and dining options.
Designed by Funk Bowling of Munich, who also fitted out the Superbowl at Wokingham, the leisure concept promises affordable, family-focused entertainment and fun. Three dedicated party rooms and a ‘Vegas’ gaming facility complete the set up.
Michael Appleton, Managing Director, American Amusements, owners of Woking Superbowl, commented: “We are really excited to have opened in the heart of Woking’s community and bring our popular entertainment concept to Victoria Place. Woking Superbowl is our sixth family entertainment concept and the second one we’ve completed with both Funk Bowling and our high-quality interiors fitout company Panelven. Victoria Place is certainly the ideal Surrey location to open our brand-new entertainment venue and we’re proud to be part of this wonderful set up.”
Councillor Ann-Marie Barker, Leader of Woking Borough Council, added: “Our vision has always been to ensure that Victoria Place embodies much more than a retail destination, offering high-quality, accessible leisure facilities to the community. The opening of Woking Superbowl is a product of that. We are delighted to welcome such a lively and versatile entertainment venue to the heart of Woking town centre.”
Woking Superbowl joins the recently launched Italia Conti, which recently opened to part- and full-time students. These follow a series of retail and leisure openings for Victoria Place since its official launch in March, including The Gym Group, Moss Bros. and M&S.
JLL and Nash Bond acted for Victoria Place.
