Poggenpohl to join Sloane Stanley's design community with new UK flagship
Sloane Stanley has announced the signing of luxury kitchen brand, Poggenpohl, for its new flagship store at 265-267 Fulham Road. Relocating from Pimlico Road, the German kitchen authority is set to launch as part of Sloane Stanley’s design community in the heart of Chelsea in autumn 2021.
Spanning three floors and a total of 2,458 sq ft, Poggenpohl’s upsized Fulham Road store will immerse visitors in Poggenpohl’s world of heritage kitchen craftsmanship and design, while showcasing elements from the brand’s 2021 collection. Joining Poggenpohl’s international network in over 70 countries worldwide and 15 points of sale across the UK & Ireland, including showrooms in Hampstead and Wigmore Street in London, Poggenpohl Chelsea will form a new ‘hub’ for the brand in the UK.
Founded in 1892 in Germany by Freidemir Poggenpohl, the brand has become synonymous with cutting edge kitchen design, superb craftmanship and technical precision over its 130-year history, developing an international reputation for leading modern kitchen design. Poggenpohl kitchens are manufactured exclusively at the company’s headquarters in Herford, Germany, ensuring artisanal distinction and that the highest standards of quality are upheld.
As with every Poggenphol store, the brand’s new Chelsea flagship will see the specially trained interior architects develop bespoke solutions for individual customer ideas and living spaces, with on-hand professional expertise offered to support every decision along the kitchen development journey.
Hannah Grievson, Head of Property at Sloane Stanley commented on the signing: “We are delighted to have secured Poggenpohl’s new UK flagship site, which is an exciting addition to the design community which we are fostering across our retail portfolio. Sitting comfortably alongside esteemed names such as Mandarin Stone, Farrow & Ball and Benjamin Moore, all on Fulham Road, Poggenpohl’s entrance sees Sloane Stanley remaining firmly at the forefront of premium interior retail.”
Sharon Wallis, Managing Director at Poggenpohl added: “This will be our first new UK flagship studio to open with our new owners; offering an expansive three floors of display presentation this space allows us to showcase elements of our new 2021 collection, which we are extremely excited to bring to the UK market. The opportunity with this new location in the heart of Chelsea, as part of Sloane Stanley’s portfolio, forms part of our future development and strategic growth plans for one of the most important markets for Poggenpohl Group.”
Sloane Stanley’s signing of Poggenpohl follows the recent launch of Love My Human Townhouse, a debut experience-led concept for dogs and owners alike at 330 King’s Road, as well as the unveiling of a new flagship store for one of London’s finest florists, Lavender Green Flowers, at 239 King’s Road.
