TOCA Social to open 30,000 sq ft site at The O2 this summer
The O2, the world’s most popular music, entertainment and leisure venue, has today confirmed TOCA Social will officially open its doors to the world’s first football-based entertainment and dining experience at The O2 this summer.
The game-changing experience will launch in the capital during what is set to be a bumper summer of sport. For the first time, the concept brings together the worlds of social entertainment, flavoursome food, unique cocktails, and immersive football games.
Revealing the look and feel of the new concept, TOCA Social will create a vibrant destination to eat, drink and play, where friends and family will be able to kick up a storm in their own personal booths. Choosing from a variety of interactive football-based games, enabled by innovative ball delivery and tracking technology, TOCA Social bridges the physical and digital worlds in a way never seen before. Each game has been designed for all ages, abilities, and football interest, so that everyone can have fun together.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a world-class food and drinks menu, created by Michelin trained chef, Ross Clarke. The menu will be brimming with creative and unexpected dishes inspired by modern Americana with twists from around the world. The venue has been styled to offer the perfect day and night out experience and will include a dessert room filled with ‘Willy Wonka’ inspired creations including a DJ booth, and three sophisticated bars with an array of drinks options from cocktails to ingenious mocktails.
Alex Harman, President of TOCA Social, said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring TOCA Social to The O2 in London at a time when friends and family are looking for new ways to enjoy time together. We created TOCA Social to make the nation’s favourite sport inclusive to all, especially to those who have never kicked a ball.
“TOCA Social fuses the worlds of football, food, drinks and live music to create a memorable experience that truly appeals to everyone - not just football fans.”
Alistair Wood, EVP of Real Estate and Development for AEG Europe commented: “We are thrilled that TOCA Social has committed to opening their doors at The O2 this summer. Having only reopened our doors on April 12, we are already seeing guests starting to return and enjoy Icon Outlet’s offer – sales were 173% higher on 12 April than sales on the first day after the original lockdown lifted in June 2020. This shows that there is pent-up demand for people to shop and enjoy The O2’s full day out destination offer, which TOCA Social will pay great complement to.”
Open seven days a week, The O2 is just 15-minutes from central London by tube, road or Uber Boat by Thames Clippers and ample car parking space is available.
