Sleep.8 'awakens' the King's Road with debut central London store launch as non-essential reopens
Sloane Stanley has today announced the launch of technology-led sleep smart brand, Sleep.8 at 366-368 King’s Road, marking the brand’s debut central London location.
Sleep.8 Chelsea’s 1336 sq. ft store provides bespoke solutions to customers for sleep-related challenges to facilitate the best night’s rest possible, from high-tech beds, bed-ware, mattresses and furniture, to temperature-controlled pillows and dream-enhancing sleep aids. The new Chelsea site joins the brand’s UK portfolio of stores in Kent and Romford.
Sleep.8’s products are eco-friendly, hypoallergenic and plant-based. The brand is the only UK based retailer of the iSense mattress, which delivers the latest in mattress technology, allowing users to adjust the firmness of the mattress core to their perfect setting ensuring sound and comfortable sleep with optimal spinal support. Sleep.8 Chelsea also has several in-house sleep consultants on hand to offer one-to-one consultations, ensuring customers are able to select a bespoke solution tailored to their needs.
Joining Sleep.8 over the summer on a pop-up basis at 227-229 & 239 King’s Road are interior design brands, Libby Blakey Designs and Mews Furnishings. Set to bolster Sloane Stanley’s roster of unique interior design tenants, Libby Blakey will bring her renowned interior design work and a wide selection of fabrics, French furniture and original decorative accessories sourced from creative individuals around the world, all within a 2485 sq. ft space shared with White Coco clothing retailers. Meanwhile, Mews Furnishings will bring a handpicked collection of fabrics and homewares to Chelsea, with the 1717 sq. ft pop-up space at 239 King’s Road acting as the first tangible store for the online retailer.
Commenting on the news, Hannah Grievson, Head of Property at Sloane Stanley said: “Throughout lockdown we have seen an increased focus on interior design, and sleep wellbeing amongst our customers. The store launch of sleep technology and home furnishings brand Sleep.8, complemented with interior pop-ups Libby Blakey Designs and Mews Furnishings highlights our responsive shops on demand leasing strategy. Taking inspiration from pop-ups, we are able to curate a relevant and blended offer that provides brands with flexibility adapting seamlessly to consumer desire and trends. Each of these brands gives retail a timely boost, with their entrance to the King’s Road coinciding with non-essential retail reopening nationally, and we are confident they will be strong performers across the estate.”
Musi Chayla, Sleep.8’s UK CEO added: “Our Chelsea store is our first in central London and we are thrilled to be launching in such an iconic location. Having a bricks and mortar store allows us the opportunity to really educate consumers about their sleep, which is critical to our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, particularly amid the pandemic. Our brand is all about delivering bespoke, tailored solutions to consumers and although our online presence is strong, we believe in the importance of the high street, which is an ethos that we feel Sloane Stanley strongly embodies too. We are so pleased to bring Sleep.8 and our focus on sleep and wellbeing to the King’s Road and look forward to developing a strong customer base in this thriving, creative and evolving area.”
This news follows Sloane Stanley’s recent signing of a new three-floored indulgent ‘Townhouse’ concept from luxury pet and grooming brand Love My Human, bolstering the estate’s experiential leisure portfolio.
