Pancake Pioneers Stack & Still to open in Silverburn

Hammerson announces that Stack & Still, operators of the UK’s largest urban pancake and licensed bar venue, will be launching its second ever site at Silverburn, Glasgow, in July.

Local Glaswegian business Stack & Still opened its first, hugely popular eatery in Glasgow’s city centre in October 2018, serving over 500,000 pancakes in its first six months. The new dual-level store, which will create 60 jobs, will be located in Silverburn’s Winter Garden, with a dedicated food and drink area seating up to 185 customers. Stack & Still’s pioneering range of food and drink options are made using the finest locally sourced ingredients, and customers will be able to choose from a huge range of possible pancake flavour combinations.

Iain Mitchell, UK Commercial Director at Hammerson, said:“We are delighted to welcome Stack & Still as a great example of a local, independent brand that has a truly unique offer. Introducing more exciting brands like Stack & Still across our portfolio is a real focus for us, as we know our customers love an experience that is different. The brand will be a great addition to the already strong food and drink line-up at Silverburn.”

Paul Reynolds, co-owner of Stack & Still, added: “We have been blown away by the response to Stack & Still since launching last year. We knew pancakes would be well received and we have been delighted with the incredible reaction. Expansion and roll out have always been part of our strategy and given the popularity of Silverburn, the ease of parking, and their consistent growth in customer footfall we are confident it will be the perfect location for our second site.

“We attract a lot of families during the day as well as couples and groups of friends in the evening, so there will be a natural synergy with the diverse Silverburn customer. We are looking forward to joining an already thriving food scene within the mall and to welcoming new customers who may not have experienced the Stack & Still offer."

This news follows the signing of Fun Street at Silverburn, a new children’s leisure concept featuring an indoor play area with soft play structures, innovative play equipment, party rooms, and a café, adjacent to the Cineworld and PureGym.Stack and Still joins the strong restaurant offer at Silverburn, including: authentic Thai street food operator Thaikhun, and international burger brand Five Guys.
