Little Greene adds to Chelsea's palette

Sloane Stanley has today announced that British paint manufacturer, Little Greene, has signed for its second London showroom at 310 King’s Road, which will mark the brand’s largest showroom to date.

With one of the oldest painting and dye sites in England, the brand currently has showrooms in Paris, Munich, and Marylebone and has now chosen the Sloane Stanley estate for its second London location.

Due to open in September, the 1,719 sq ft space will be designed by an in-house team, using Premier ShopFit for the fit-out. The new showroom is set to feature a luxury Colour Consultancy Suite on the lower floor as well as a large feature wall displaying Little Greene’s bespoke Colours of England collection. An on-site tinting and mixing machine will also allow customers to take away paint in every colour and finish direct from the store. The brand is planning to coincide its launch with the start of London Design Festival.

Commenting on the news, Hannah Grievson, Commercial Property Manager at Sloane Stanley said: ”Little Greene’s historical roots complement the rich heritage of the Sloane Stanley estate and their new showroom will add to our vibrant range of bespoke retailers already available in Chelsea.

“We are thrilled to welcome the brand’s largest showroom to date, we’re confident that this luxury brand and its offering of high-quality paints and wallpapers will be well received by visitors to the King’s Road.”

Managing Director of Little Greene, David Mottershead, is delighted to have a second presence in the capital: “Having enjoyed great success with our Marylebone showroom, as well as our European outlets in Paris and Munich, we had been working assiduously to find the location for an even larger store. Fashionable and chic, but friendly and approachable, the King’s Road and Little Greene seemed just the perfect fit! We’re looking forward to welcoming homeowners and designers to the showroom, where we can offer them inspiration and expert advice on colour combinations, wallpaper designs and paint finishes.”

This signing follows recent news of the King’s Road welcoming an exhibition from Chelsea Art Society, as an alternative usage of retail space. One of the estate’s oldest retailers, Green and Stone, was also recently voted Chelsea’s ‘Most Loved’ shop by Time Out.
